Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe came from a multi-cultural family. Born within South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss as is her mom who's English. She was born and raised in a council estate located south of London. When she was fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She pursued acting studies in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While attending the school, she was a part-time actor in a number of stage productions, including The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her career as an actress through the film Storm Damage. Over the past few years she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Her first role in a film was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. After the film's success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha in the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared in six episodes Trexx and Flipside. In 2008 she landed Bambi's part on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was the main character on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy made in the year 2008. Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama show was telecast in the US on The CW for only two episodes, before it was removed from the air. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen as Ashley Davenport. In late May 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who been a series regular in the past two seasons, was to leave the series with a guest appearance on the premier episode of the new season. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star in the role of Tituba on the show Salem. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. They have worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he was also on the show with Madekwe on the show Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Her parents were Roy and Patty as well as her four brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. All of her brothers were athletic and played baseball and hockey in the summer and winter. They grew up playing the arenas and baseball. Ashley did not walk, but she was a dancer, and at age just two years old, she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley became a dancer immediately. Ashley was a competitive dancer throughout the various divisions up until her graduation from high school. She was a competitor in ballet, tap, jazz and pointe, as well as Acrobatics. She also won best soloist awards at all important dance competitions like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
